A SIP OF HISTORY.

First time at Japp's. I had read about it and just never made the effort to go downtown just for drinks. Dumb move.

Japp's has been converted from an old wig store.  It retains a lot of the heritage in a eclectic kind of way.  We stopped by for drinks on Saturday night. They had a three piece jazz group playing which added to the vibe.  It was a quiet night so we had a nice vantage point to just enjoy the music and people watch.

Drinks are there speciality and will make up anything for you. If you don't know what you want just start with a base such as vodka or gin and they will craft something for you. 

Being a beer and Scotch lover I was pleasantly surprised to enjoy what I would normally call a "froo froo" drink, so much that I had three different drinks.

A great place to relax and enjoy friends over a few drinks.
